What is a shampoo soap bar?

Shampoo soap bars are simply a soap made with a special recipe suitable to wash your hair. Each bar has at least a 4 week curing period, which allows time for excess water to evaporate, creating a more concentrated formula. Our natural and plant-based formula works to keep your hair’s natural oils intact.

Why use it?

Our shampoo bars are all natural and only contain ingredients your hair needs. Commercial liquid shampoos contain preservatives and aggressive cleaning agents. These chemicals damage the hair and strip hair of its natural protective layer making strands dry, lifeless and fragile. 

Our shampoo bars contain only pure plant oils and other natural ingredients and no synthetic fragrances, dyes or preservatives. Many of the synthetic chemicals found in commercial shampoo do not break down naturally, whereas our natural shampoo soaps are fully biodegradable. 

Shampoo soap bars are travel friendly too. Because our bars are not liquid, you won’t have to worry about liquid restrictions at the airport. They can also be used as body soap, so it is convenient to keep things minimal when traveling.

How to use it?

Apply wet shampoo bar directly to wet hair. Massage shampoo through to the scalp. Rinse hair thoroughly for at least a minute.

It takes some time to get used to this new way of washing your hair. You may not be immediately satisfied because your hair and scalp will have to adjust to no more chemical products, and need time to recover.  After a few washes, the hair may feel oilier than usual. This is expected, as our shampoo soap is a mild cleanser, it does not clean your hair as aggressively as chemical shampoos, so it is possible you may find residue. Therefore thorough rinsing for at least a minute is necessary.

If you keep this routine of washing your hair with our shampoo soap bars, you will start to notice your hair will have better volume and softer in texture.
